Rough Green Snake
Rough Green Snake
Rough Green Snakes are fairly long reaching lengths up to 32 inches. It is a slender, bright green snake with yellow or whitish belly that spends much of their time climbing in vegetation. Their bright green color easily distinguishes them from all other snakes in Florida. Rough Green Snakes are found throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast from the Pine Barrens of New Jersey west to central Texas and south throughout Florida. Rough green snakes can be found in a variety of habitats but are most common in open forests and edge habitats. They can be particularly abundant along the margins of wetlands and rivers, where they search overhanging vegetation for insects. Rough Green Snakes are probably the most arboreal snakes in our region and spend the majority of their time hunting for insects, spiders, and other invertebrates in vegetation well above the ground. When encountered, green snakes often freeze, relying on their green coloration for camouflage. Most Colorful Red Rat Snake

The Red Rat Snake, often called the corn snake in Florida, live near pinelands, hardwood hammocks, swamps, agricultural fields, and residential areas. Corn snakes are one of the most colorful snakes in Florida. Adult Red rat Snakes are orangish-brown with black bordered orange, red, or brownish blotches. The belly usually is a black and white checkerboard pattern, though orange may also be present. The underside of the tail has 2 black stripes. Adult red rat snakes reach a length of 18-44 inches. Red rat Snakes are found throughout peninsular Florida. The species ranges west to Louisiana to north to southern New Jersey. Most beautiful Nelson's Milk Snake
Most beautiful Nelson's Milk Snake
Nelson's Milk snake or Lampropeltis triangulum, awesome-looking snake, is a type of the king snake found in Mexico to the Pacific Coast. It is similar in size to other king snake, averaging 42 inches long (107 cm).Once thought to all be nelsoni, Williams (1978 American Milk Snake) recognized the race found near Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico as a different subspecies, sinaloae. The "clean" sinaloan has very wide red bands, with very narrow black and white rings. The "clean" nelsoni looks like it has big black saddles, almost touching on the back, with a narrow white. The problem is that sometimes nelsoni will produce offspring that look like sinaloans, and vice versa. Behaviorally the babies are the same and thrive. Sinaloans seem to get larger and nelsoni (for me) will double clutch more frequently than sinaloans. I am breeding colonies of each to produce "clean" examples of both. If you like a lot of red the sinaloan is your milk snake choice. Albinos of the nelsoni are becoming available in the trade.

Burmese Python or Python molurus bivittatus, is the largest subspecies of the Indian Python and one of the 6th largest snakes in the world. This snake is native to rain forest areas of Southeast Asia. The Burmese python average growing up to 5.5 meters (18 ft) and weighing up to 71 kilograms (160 lb). It continues to grow throughout its lifeBurmese Pythons, because of their docile nature and undemanding requirements, are among the most suitable of the large snakes as captive animals. It's been more than 35 years since I got my first Burmese, and the species still remains my favorite.
There's no denying the popularity of the Burmese python. And as long as you're sure you have the space to properly house one, you, too, should be able to discover why I still like them so much, after all these years.

An emerald tree boa is a stunning sight with two varieties, the Suriname and the Amazon. Both are yellow-green with white spots. The skin looks something like fresh leaves spotted with bird droppings. Occasionally, there are yellow spots, too. The emerald tree boa has a reputation for being a hard snake to keep in captivity. The babies are red and turn green as they mature. Adults grow to about 6 feet or 1.8 m in length. It has highly developed front teeth that are likely proportionately larger than those of any other non-venomous snake.
